By Jim White, FWA student co-ordinator.
Students, would you be interested in work experience opportunities in the communications department of an English Football League Club? Fancy being a guest in the Wembley press box for the Carabao Cup final? Then now is your chance.
Together with our friends at the English Football League, the FWA is pleased to announce a unique, new Student Media Pathway. Over the coming season, we will be enabling student members of the FWA to access learning and mentoring opportunities from professionals within the Football League. This will involve live and remote seminars, mentoring from seasoned communications experts, plus the chance to link up with a Football League club close to where you are studying. Not to mention the opportunity to experience the working environment in the Wembley press box at the 2027 Carabao Cup final.
Providing invaluable advice and experience, this is a significant new development in helping the next generation navigate their way into the football communications business. There are 10 places available on the scheme for the coming season.
