FedEx Express, Football Manager and dataPOWA join William Hill and Sky Sports as FWA sponsors
FROM PAUL McCARTHY, EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
Dear Member,
There have been some significant changes in our sponsorship model over the last few months following a decision by the National Committee to move away from a single title sponsor.
We have been incredibly grateful to William Hill in their role as headline sponsor for the last six years and are delighted that they still remain part of the FWA as a senior sponsorship partner. Their loyalty to the Association is unparalleled and we look forward to continuing our productive relationship.
They have been joined by FedEx Express in what is an exciting new step for the Association. As many of you will be aware, FedEx Express is a UEFA Champions League sponsor and they become our European Football Partner. Alongside building relations with members over the course of the season, this will see the creation of a new award at the end of the season open to members judged on their coverage of European football.
We have always had close ties with Football Manager, but they have now joined the FWA as an official partner. Our discussions with Football Manager have centred on education and we are proud to announce the formation of four student bursaries aimed at encouraging those who are currently under-represented in the industry.
Our relationship with Sky Sports stretches back more than 30 years and they will continue as the FWA’s official media partner for all our national and local events.
We also welcome dataPOWA as a sponsor. They have provided all our technology requirements for many years but we are pleased they are also now an official sponsor.
These are exciting times for the FWA, and our new sponsorship agreements provide fresh opportunities for members as well as the financial protection of the Association for many years to come.
