FWA signs official media partnership with Egypt Media Forum 

The FWA are proud to announce its first international media and journalism partnership having signed an agreement with Egypt Media Forum. The partnership seeks to foster the exchange of expertise, enhance journalistic practices, and elevate media performance to new heights. 

The agreement will see the FWA and EMF organise specialised sports journalism training workshops designed to empower journalists and media professionals in Egypt and the Middle East, covering diverse aspects of sports reporting and addressing pertinent issues within the industry.

As part of this collaboration, Egypt Media Forum will be present at the Footballer of the Year dinner and will become and associate partner in the FWA’s family of sponsors.

Noha El-Nahass, Director of Egypt Media Forum, expressed her appreciation for this significant partnership, emphasising its positive impact on sports journalism. She said, “Egypt Media Forum is committed to ensuring the success of this partnership and fostering fruitful cooperation with the Football Writers Association in England.”

Paul McCarthy, FWA Chief Executive, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Egypt Media Forum and look forward to a successful relationship helping to train both experienced and aspiring sports journalists.”

Previously, the FWA was announced as one of Egypt Media Forum’s international partners for the second edition, held on November 26th and 27th in Cairo under the theme “Journalism-less World”, attended by over two thousand journalists, media professionals, and scholars from Egypt and around the globe, the event marked the FWA’s international collaboration with the Forum
